Florida, a place where there are many beautiful, exotic beaches, perfect for holding the beach wedding. With more than eighteen hundred miles of shining shoreline, you could always find a little romantic private pretty spot in the soft sands and clear blue skies for your wedding.

Home to many exciting attractions such as Disneyland and Universal Studios, Florida is a wonderful location to hold the wedding ceremony for newly weds or those who wants to renew their vows.

You would need a to apply for a marriage license (valid for 60 days) which cost $93.50. For Florida residents, if you have completed a state sanctioned marriage preparation course within the year, there is no waiting period. If not, there is a three day waiting period.

A marriage license is required and could be obtained from an authorized agent.

– Honolulu – Room 101 (1st floor) of the Health Department Building, 1250 Punchbowl St. (corner of Beretania and Punchbowl Streets)
Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Choice 3: California

 

Having a wedding in California under the warm Californian sun and sea breeze sparks out a romantic mood in the air.

There are many great beach parks in Southern California which are great locations to conduct a memorable wedding. Beach parks such as the Leo Carrillo State Park in Malibu and Crystal Cove State Park are popular choices for couples to choose as the venue for their weddings. Not only does it have great amenities nearby, it also encompass great historical and cultural buildings nearby. Some even have accommodation facilities.

You might have to check with the park authorities on the fees required to book the venue to hold the wedding.

You would need a to apply for a marriage license (valid for 90 days) which cost around $70 – $80 (subjected to change). There is no waiting period. However it is advisable to call for an appointment with the California County or City Clerk’s office to avoid queues.


California Beaches:

  • Long Beach

Brilliant white sands with great waters.  The infamous Hotel Del Coronado – used as the scene of the film Some Like it Hot, it has hosted many rich and famous for many years. If you are lucky, you might spot some dolphins. Great shopping and amenities and great tours on the island!

  • Ocean Beach – San Francisco

Great stretch of beach which seems to go on forever with ample breathtaking  spots for you to choose for your wedding venue. One of the rare beaches which allows bonfires. There are many activities which you can do such as horse riding. However swimming is not advisable due to the strong currents.

  • China Beach – San Francisco

One of the only beach which is considered safe for swimming in San Francisco. Boast good view to the Golden Gate Bridge which could be a background.
