Choosing the perfect ring to say I Do

Choosing a wedding ring for him or her during this big day is quite challenging task. There are just too many choices out in the market to get spoilt and confused!!!

Diamond rings are nearly the first choice for most couples as diamond represent eternity, which symbolize the notion " Till death do us part".

Of course, there are some small pointers to note when choosing a perfect wedding ring.

• Ring size

Actually I'm not really a great fan to measure the ring size as the ring size might differ slightly due to the cutting of certain designs. It is important to consider the comfort level when wearing the ring. Some people are allergic to certain composition of metal alloys in the ring. Thus I do recommend going to the shop together to browse and try on the rings. It makes things easier too, to measure the right size for alterations.

• Material of the ring

Platinum? Titanium? Sliver? Gold? Which material best suits you? It all voice down to preferences as some couples prefer one material over another. Do think it through and it would greatly aid in your shopping for the ring. You could consider in terms of the maintenance of the material too. for e.g., sterling sliver would require frequent polishing to keep it in tip top condition whereas gold require minimum maintenance.

• Design

Choose something which both of you like since you are going to wear it for the years to come. You may receive some comments from friends or relatives advising you on the type of wedding rings to look out for, but remember, you are the ones who are wearing it. The final choice should be yours!

• Think of your budget.

If you do not have a lot to spare, do go back to the basics. Perhaps you can drop the idea of a diamond ring or opt for a smaller diamond. Sometimes there are great discounts by the merchants, do take good use of this opportunity to grab the ring of your dreams.

So do do your research and you may end up purchasing the rings of your dreams without bursting your pockets. Do browse through jewelry merchant sales, internet auctions and sale site to look for the perfect rings!
