Bridal Gift Registry

Many merchants and shopping centers offer this service of a wedding registry for couples to place their wish list in the various categories. This is made available to guests who then can pick or buy a gift that match the couple’s needs.

This phenomenon had been growing in popularity as it prevents gifts duplicates or unwanted gifts. For the guests, they could know what the couple wants and get something they like and need. For the couple, they could weed out doubles and unwanted gifts.

This is something in contrast to the traditional way.

The guests can get know of the registry either through the bridal shower or by word of mouth.

Depending on how many pre wedding parties you have and whether the guests list includes duplicates. You might advise your guests to combine the gifts for the bridal shower and the wedding reception to one larger gift.

If you are the creative type, you might want to post this wish list on your wedding web site. Some couples are rather wary as they think that they might be portraying the wrong impression that they are soliciting for gifts. You could do this in a subtle way by pointing the item or directing to the wedding registry you have created on the merchants’ web site or at the shopping centers.

However for some guests, they might welcome the idea as it is a bit tiring to think through on what are the possible gifts to buy.
