Ensuring Flawless skin on the big day
Which bride does not want flawless radiant skin on her big day? In order to establish this, you must do some important preparation work at least 2 months prior to the big day.
One thing to note is that this is the time to experiment and create the look that you want on the big day and making sure that you are well prepared to create the same look. In order to see how picture perfect you will look on the big day, it is best that you try to take a photo of yourself in digital and film to see how you will look in the photos.
Steps to make your foundation stay longer:
- Apply the moisturizer to your face and let it dry completely.
- Add a primer prior to applying the foundation. The primer will make your makeup look more even and last longer.
- Use a concealor to hide the imperfections in the skin.
- Apply the foundation. Remember to use a shade that is near your skin tone. You can use either a makeup sponge, foundation brush or even your finger to do the blending.
- Blot off the excess foundation using a tissue paper with attention to the areas that usually shines (T-zone, nose, chins).
- Then apply a generous amount of loose powder to set the foundation.
- Remember to have a handy compact powder in place for touch-ups during the day.
- Blot your face first prior to applying the powder so that you will not get the shiny look.
Steps to cover the dark eye circles:
- Clean the eye area properly and apply eye crème to it, letting it set for a few minutes. Blot away the excess with a tissue paper.
- Take a concealor brush and begin where the discoloration begins on your skin. Use the finger to blend in. Remember to choose a shade that is a few shades lighter than your foundation to hide the imperfection.
- Use yellow concealors if your skin tone is beige or ivory, golden orange concealors for bronze and ebony skin.
Steps to cover the blemishes:
- Use a dry texture concealor as it would adhere to your skin better and prevent breakouts.
Steps to cover scars:
- Depending on the type of scars, it might be difficult to conceal them entirely. If it’s an acne scar, you might want to keep your face as matte as possible.
- Do not overuse foundation and concealor as you might end up have the ‘cake’ effect when you start to shine during the day.
