Destination Wedding Checklist
Congrats! You have asked yourselves several questions and finally
come to a consensus that you will choose the destination wedding.
So what is
destination wedding? By pure definition, it is wedding that don’t take place in either the bride’s or the groom’s usual
place of residence. It is a hybrid of wedding ceremony plus honeymoon for most cases and usually is in distant
places.
So what are the plus points to have such a
wedding?
- You save money as the guest list is smaller
- It is a unique experience
- It is a honeymoon, bingo, killing two birds with a single
stone!
Whatever reason for your decision, here’s a checklist for you
to work out the details of the destination wedding!
What’s your budget like? Do what is within your means!
Is there a place whereby both of you badly want to go? Perhaps it
might be a place where he proposed?
How far is this place? Is it ridiculously far away?
Is this a good place for you to stay for your
honeymoon?
What are the local rules and regulations?
Who cannot attend the wedding? Why? Is it due to the
distance?
How to pass the information to those who are invited? Via personal
website or wedding invitation?
Is it easy to get the centerpiece, decorations, wedding cake,
favors? What are the choices offered in the location? Is it ideal?
How early should you start planning? As a rule of thumb, the earlier
the better as you can scout for good deals!
