Boracay Island Take me there!

boracay waters

Boracay Island is a great place to relax and unwind. You can laze around and admire the fantastic scenic views. The whole island is 7 km long with the narrowest point being only 1 m wide.

White Beach

This is a popular 4 km beach with white powdery sand with shallow waters. The sand is so fine that it resembles baby powder. That is why it is so popular among the locals and tourists.

Boracay's largest villages or barangays are Yapak, Balabag and Manoc-Manoc and they are connected by a network of paths and tracks and several smaller hamlets called sitios. Do note that the maps can only serve as a general guide.  Boracay is also famous for its rare gleaming white puka shells, which was rumored to be the best in the world.

Near Balabag, there is a stretch of beautiful beaches on the West Coast of Boracay. If you like snorkelling, you might want to got to the east coast of the island where there are better snorkelling spots.

You can also get down to the Diniwid Beach, north of White Beach. If you intend to stay there, do note thboracay white beachat the cost of accommodation is about twice as those on White Beach due to the limited number of accommodations available. You may also want to consider Punta Beach.

If you like diving, you can go to Yapak which is a great site for deep diving. Be it a novice or an expert, you would be able to find great dive sites.

Boracay playing host to the annual Paraw Regatta, an international sailboat race that makes use of the native outrigger. Sailing and Kayaking are popular sports in Boracay.

You will find that everyday seems to be a relaxing holiday over at Boraclay. Its like a paradise.  So why not consider this place as your beach wedding destination?

Best Time to Go

There are few major monsoon periods which falls in the months of November - February and July - October. March - May are the busiest time of the year as it is the summer period and flocks of tourists come to the island.

If you planning a beach wedding, the best time to go would be in the summer season but in order to avoid the crowd, you might want to plan either at the beginning or nearer to the end of the tourist season.

Manoc Manoc, Angol | Boracay Island, Boracay, Visayas, Philippines

A nice and beautiful place which offers a scenic and serene tropical nirvana. It is a short walk to the famous White Beach. Though it is a budget hotel, it is one which offers great service. There have been quite a number of good commentaries on the Inn and its hospitality.
