Australian laws require that all marriage papers have to be lodged no less than 31 days before the wedding day. You will need to file an Intention to Marry Form which is available from any one of seven Australian Consulates in the United States.

You will need the following documents:

2. Copies of certified Birth Certificates

3. Copies of any and all divorce or death certificates of spouse, if applicable.

You need 2 witnesses who are over the age of 18 years and need to be in Australia 1 day prior to your wedding day. You can get married anywhere in Australis by a Civil Marriage celebrant.
